This update way overdue, but I hope the big news will let me
off the hook a bit.  Yes indeed, I'm going to be a mommy!

My husband and I decided that starting a family would be
our next big project, and wouldn't you know it...we're off and
running.  "Sesame Seed" Doyle, as we've dubbed him, will
join the world sometime in March 2007.  Until then I'm
probably out of the running for most theatre and film projects.

If you need pregnant lady or some bloated-belly patient for a
role, do get in touch.  Otherwise, I'll see you after some time
off.

As for what I've been up to besides incubation, this summer
was quite a busy time.

I worked on a wonderful movie called
If Not Now directed by
Sommer Basinger in July, playing Jocelyn, a young woman
torn between her dreams and her grandmother's heath.  I
had such a blast working with my two good friends, Seth
Holbrook and Jonathan Donahue, and the whole fantastic
crew of the film.  Thank you to everyone for making this one
of the most rewarding film experiences I've had to date.

In July I joined director John Hadden and Shakespeare East
in an innovative production of
Hamlet in Marblehead.  I
played Ophelia in this dream-inspired, magical fantasy of a
play and loved every minute of it.

Emerson students Alex Jones and Wakana Yokota kept me
busy in August and September with two short projects,
Fly
Away
and My Mother's Boyfriend.  Yokota and Jones
collaborated on
Fly Away, the beautiful, dark tale of Yuri, a
Japanese immigrant struggling in the new world.  I played
Tara, Yuri's friend and confidante.

For
My Mother's Boyfriend, I took a trip to Maine with Jones
and crew to shoot the story of Danielle, a woman obsessed
with the man she can't have.  Playing determined, sexy
Danielle was a nice way to sign off for a little while, and I'll
look forward to jumping back into work down the road.
